Overview

LSAC is a not-for profit organization whose mission is to advance law and justice by supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.

 

Pay rate: $65,000 to $75,000, depending on experience

 

The Plus Program Specialist acts as an instructor and coordinator for LSAC’s signature Plus program. In this capacity, the program specialist provides individually tailored support to participating scholars via virtual meetings and correspondence, helps build an inclusive virtual learning environment for content delivery, and coordinates with program stakeholders for content creating and delivery.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

Develop and build online education content and program development in learning environment.

  • Meet with Plus scholars to address individual questions and needs.
  • Track Plus scholar participation, report outcomes, and provide recommendations for program development based on findings.
  • Follow up with Plus scholars to increase program participation, retention, and impact.
  • Manage multiple calendars and schedules programming and recordings with program stakeholders.
  • Record and edit programming content for Plus ensuring accessibility and quality in alignment with guidelines and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with schools and events team for Plus hubs.

 

Competencies

  • Firm understanding of law school experience and legal education admissions process.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and use specialized office software related to the duties assigned.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize as needed.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in authoring memos and public speaking.
  • Holds a strong sense of accountability for both individual and team objectives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, law, or other related field or relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience counseling or coaching higher education students in legal education admissions and providing student support.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience teaching or delivering educational content.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and constituents.
  • At least one (1) and preferably three (3) years of experience working with or running educational pathway programs.
  • Experience building and managing virtual content through a learning management system.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.

 

Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Position Type

The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.

 

Work Environment

This is a remote position. The job operates in a professional environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Travel Requirements

Up to 30% of travel is required for this position.
